Multilingual Collaboration at EMLex Wiktionary Hackfest 2024

Students and lecturers from the University of Vigo (Spain), the University of Minho (Portugal), and the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain) gathered today at the Faculty of Education and Sport Sciences, Pontevedra Campus, University of Vigo, to celebrate this year's edition of the EMLex Wiktionary Hackfest.

The event provided an opportunity for participants to explore practical aspects of lexicography through individual and collaborative activities. Using various lexicographic tools, they created and edited dictionary entries in multiple languages, including Arabic, English, French, Fon, Galician, German, Hungarian, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, and Yoruba.

The Hackfest provided a dynamic environment for skill-building and knowledge exchange among the participants.
