Summer term 2026 at the Université de Lorraine (Nancy)

The EMLex Summer Term 2026 at the Université de Lorraine will commence on 2 March with an official Welcome Day hosted by the Research Unit ATILF in Nancy. The opening session will feature addresses from university representatives, followed by a keynote lecture delivered by experts from UNESCO on multilingualism and digital inclusion. Throughout the morning, participants will attend scholarly presentations on lexicography, including insights into the Dictionnaire Étymologique Roman and an introduction to the work of Alain Rey and the Dictionnaires Le Robert.
During the Welcome Week, students will take part in a range of academic and cultural activities designed to support their integration and provide a deeper understanding of the linguistic and cultural environment. The programme includes guided visits in the city, a campus and library tour, training on bibliographic resources, and a visit to the Goethe-Institut. Additional cultural opportunities, such as a concert by the Orchestre de l’Opéra National de Nancy-Lorraine and free entry to the Musée des Beaux-Arts, further enrich the experience for all participants.
